Last Saturday was the cross country competition held at Glebelands School in Cranleigh. The children had been in training every Friday morning and they were amazing! There were nine individual medals winners who came in the top six in each group and then the scores are then added up and St Edmund’s came a very impressive second overall. Well done to you all.

This week is Anti-Bullying week and we kicked off the week with ‘Odd Socks Day’ on Monday to remind us to celebrate our differences. The children in each class have been talking and working in class and have made posters to illustrate the important message ‘Change starts with us’. During our assemblies we have looked at how we can make these little changes in how we speak to and treat others maybe just smiling, giving a compliment, asking another child if they are ok, inviting someone who is on their own to join us, this will all contribute to making our school a happier place for everyone to be.

Year 2 has been to Hampton Court Palace on Wednesday. The children really enjoyed their visit and learning all about Henry VIII, I have heard that they even spotted Queen Elizabeth I!
