District Sports Champions and 'Joseph'!

It is the final Friday of this school year with only three days left next week!

We had great success in the District Sports Competition on Tuesday afternoon. Last year we were moved up to the larger schools group, competing against two form entry schools. Again St Edmund’s were the winners! The girls took home the ‘Girls Winners’ shield and we won the ‘Overall Winners’ shield. There were two new medals for each school for commitment and effort and outstanding achievement. We presented these to Evan in Year 3 and Emma S in Year 6. The children all were brilliant; well behaved, supportive and they did amazingly well. I believe this takes our winning streak to 14 out of the last 15 years!

We were treated to Year 6’s Leaver’s Production of ‘Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat’ on Wednesday morning. The children have worked really hard and the costumes and stage set were amazing! As a musical most of the narration was sung and the children did brilliantly learning all the lines and all the colours too! Well done Year 6.

There was a House Netball competition on Wednesday morning. Children from Years 4, 5 and 6 took part and St John’s House were the winners.

Year 6 class is going to the park today for games, pizzas and a picnic to celebrate the end of the year. We hope the rain holds off!

Have a lovely weekend,
