Minutes for the 39th PSA AGM held on Tuesday 15th July 2008


1. Those Present
20 members present, which met the necessary quorum of 20.

2. Apologies
These were received from Susan Robertson, Kim Merritt and Lorraine Myles.

3. Approval of Minutes of the 38th AGM held on 18th July 2007
The minutes were approved.

4. President’s Statement
Mrs Bullen said that she and all the staff are very grateful for the help and dedication of the PSA Committee. She thanked those who took on the running of events and those who attended them. She asked that parents support events run by the PSA and let the PSA know what sort of events they would enjoy and attend. Mrs Bullen reminded everyone that the money raised by the PSA improves the facilities available for all our children. In the last year money has been raised towards the library project, interactive whiteboards in all classrooms, role play equipment for years R and 1, replacement seat in the playground and the updating of audiovisual equipment in the school hall.

5. Chairperson’s Statement
Jo Peppitt thanked all existing committee members for their contribution during the past year and welcomed new members joining in September 2008.

6. Treasurer’s Statement
Siobhan Murphy presented a summary of the accounts for 2007-8.

The PSA raised £9,051.00 during the year. Expenditure using last years balance and monies raised this year was £14,900 and included £10,645 towards the library project with other monies going towards a school projector, role play areas in Yr R and 1, class floats, class parties and the gardening club. Cash in hand is £3,200

7. Matters Arising
Anne-Marie Harrison stated that the 100 Club had raised £206.00 this year.


8. Election of New Committee Members and Independent Auditor
The following committee members are stepping down: Caroline Phillips (secretary), Helen Payne, Anne-Marie Harrison, and Susan Robertson. The following were proposed to join from September 2008:

Anthony Pink has agreed to be the Independent Auditor again this year.

9. Resolution to Confirm Signatories of Bank and Building Society Accounts
It was agreed that these would be Mrs Bullen, Siobhan Murphy and Kym Cairns.

10. Any Other Business
There was no other business.

11. Date of Next Meeting
This is yet to be agreed.
