Another exciting week!

We started our week with our assemblies on Monday morning, talking about the calming of the storm. We thought about how, even during the most difficult times and challenges, we are not alone. We thought about the challenges that we have faced over the past eighteen months and those that still lie ahead. He discussed different ways that we use to keep calm, the children had some great suggestions too.

Year 6 children have had an amazing four days at Henley Fort in Guildford. After having their autumn residential visit postponed and then cancelled, they were delighted to have the chance to finally get away. They have been staying in yurts at Henley Fort Outdoor Education site off the Hog’s Back with amazing views over Guildford. The children have packed so much into four full days. The have been resilient, supportive determined, and we have been immensely proud of every one of them. Well done Year 6.They have taken part in a wide range of exciting and challenging activities: archery, orienteering, climbing, team building, a whole day of WW2 learning, being part of the Home Guard and ARP Wardens, a day on the water, paddle boarding, canoeing, and mastering a canal boat. The food was delicious and everyone has been very well-fed! Well done Year 6.

Back at school, Year 3 had a wonderful day at the Sculpture Park near Farnham exploring the art work and even meeting one of artists.

Year 4 children enjoyed exciting activities at Rugged Earth near Guildford, including a campfire lunch.

There are only three and a half weeks of this school year left, and I know that we will make the most of every day.

Have a lovely weekend,
