Golden assemblies, meetings and end of our first half term!

I think we are all ready for a half term break! The children and staff have done brilliantly since September and I’m so pleased and proud of everyone for all their hard work. The children are happy and enjoying their learning and that is the most important thing.

We have had our Golden Assemblies this week. It’s not the same in a small group but the children enjoyed hearing who had been awarded the headteacher’s awards and which house had won the cup!  We have found it very hard to choose a few this term as everyone has worked so hard and done so well. As Year 3 are at home this week, I held their assembly on Zoom. It was lovely to see everyone but difficult not being able to interact with the children in the way we normally do. We can’t wait to have them back at school after the holiday.

We are really pleased with how well the virtual parent’s consultations went. The teachers were really pleased to finally see you all! Thank you for supporting us with this change, it was the first time ever that we ran to time too!

We have some amazing costumes in school today for the PSA mufti. The children have especially loved dressing up in their spooky outfits with their friends this year as they can’t have parties and gatherings outside school. The money raised will go towards much needed items for the school. When we return to school we will talk about All Hallows Eve and All Saints and All Souls Day and the associated customs and traditions.

Have a wonderful half term holiday and I hope that everyone stays well,
