Our new routine...

Even though it is not easy, we are all getting used to the new routines this week. For those in school and at home, the days have settled into a new rhythm. It is surprising how quickly we all adapt and change when we have to.

We have been continually impressed by the children; their amazing work and excellent levels of engagement. Thank you for all that you are doing to support the remote learning at home. Here are some of the things we have seen this week...

One of the highlights this week has been seeing the children on Zoom. So many joined our assembly on Monday morning, it was great to see everyone and a lovely way to start the week together. Most classes have also had a class meeting where they have had a chat and catch up, shared a story or work and what has been going well at home. Year 6 did their weekly Ethos Statement together and Year 1 children did their meditation as a class too! Seeing everyone in their little boxes is lovely and does help us to feel connected. We’ve even had guinea pigs, puppies, pets and babies coming to meet everyone! Thank you to all the children at home who have joined us. I’m looking forward to seeing you all on Monday morning for our next assembly.

Our testing kits arrive next week, ready for our next challenge; routine testing for staff! I will let you know how that goes!

I hope everyone manages to have a break this weekend and please do look after each other.
