A hopeful start to the new half term

We’re back to school after a much needed half term break. I know how pleased everyone is to have the news that all children will be back at school from 8th March, just another week to go! We can’t wait to have everyone back together, it seems like such a long time ago that we were all in school.

Spring is in the air and the days are getting so much lighter now, it hasn’t even been completely dark by the time I have left school this week. It has been lovely to see the spring sunshine, the children have enjoyed playing outside and enjoying the warmer weather. It certainly makes everything seem more hopeful and we know that things are getting better.

I have really enjoyed looking at all the wonderful entries for the ‘Made In Godalming’ art competition. There have been so many creative ideas from pencil drawings, photographs, paintings, collage and 3D pieces. It has been very, very hard for us to choose winners to go through to the Godalming Learning Partnership final. Thank you to everyone who took part. We’ll announce the winners when we get back to school. I hope you enjoy having a look at some of the entries.

During our INSET day we will be continuing our training on Talk for Writing. Tomorrow’s session will be led by Pie Corbett who created the programme. If you are interested, here is a short clip of Pie explaining Talk for Writing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VI2OWdZo6nY&safe=true

Enjoy the weekend and see you all very soon,

Elizabeth
