Saying 'Thank you'

I think we are all ready for a well-deserved half-term break! The children have had a wonderful first seven weeks of the school year. They have settled well into the routines of school life, enjoyed being back together as a whole school community, and they have also been doing some amazing learning!

On Monday we had a very interesting visitor, Rabbi Zvi, came to talk to the children about Judaism. The children enjoyed listening to his stories, and we all learnt a lot about Jewish feast days and traditions.

On Tuesday morning Year 1 took a virtual trip to the seaside to find out about the past. They enjoyed a promenading in their Victorian beach wear, performing a punch and Judy show and writing postcards home!

During our Golden Assembly yesterday we heard about some of the wonderful learning that has been going on the classes and after adding up all the housepoints, St Luke were the winners this half-term.

This morning we have enjoyed a special Harvest Liturgy giving thanks for the food that we have and thinking of those less fortunate than ourselves. The wonderfully generous collection of tins and packets will go to The Godalming Food Bank where I know it will be greatly appreciated.

Have a lovely half-term holiday! See you all in November!
