A wonderful week in Devon

We have had an amazing week at St George's House, Georgeham, Devon. It has been lovely to spend the week with Year 6. The children have embraced a wide range of new and exciting activities. From orienteering around the beautiful Mort Point, to surfing at Putsborough beach, there have been triumphs and challenges for all.

We have been really lucky with the weather, there was only rain on Tuesday, and lots of autumn sunshine. One of the benefits of being here in September is the warm sea temperatures. It is also a great way for the children to start their important, final year at St Edmund's. Seeing them working together, facing challenges with resilience and determination and enjoying being together is so important. Although I have known most of the class for six years, it is a pleasure to see so many personal successes and to see how much they have grown up. They are going to be a great Year 6 class. Well done Year 6.

Back at school, our new Year R children have enjoyed their very first week of school, I have heard that thy have settled in really well, and I can't wait to see them all next week.

We obviously won't be at school on Monday, I wish everyone a peaceful weekend and see you all on Tuesday.
