Friday 25th 2022

A busy, crazy hair day!

Another wet autumn week, but our last Friday in November and the last before we enter the season of Advent.

On Monday we had a visitor, Sam, from the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. She came to talk to us about our Christmas Run. We are all very excited about the sponsored run on 5th December. The children can dress up in Christmas outfits, hats or reindeer antlers for their run. Please look out for the sponsorship forms and sponsor the children if you can.

Look at our wonderful pig carved out of a watermelon by Josefine! The children were delighted to see the pig on the lunch table and I think it encouraged them to eat more fruit too.

Today we have had Year 4’s amazing class assembly they took us on a train trip around Europe with tour guides taking us to Italy, Russia, Lithuania, Spain, Portugal, France, Ireland, and Switzerland. They sang in Italian and French and told us many amazing facts.

Everyone is very colourful today with their crazy hair and mufti. The children brought in packets of sweets for the Christmas market next Saturday.  Excitement is building for the discos this evening. The children are especially intrigued to find out who the mystery guest is!

I have had a busy morning clearing the loft ready for the building work. There were so many ancient costumes up there! We have managed to sort everything and have lots of costumes ready for the upcoming Nativity plays.

Have a lovely weekend,

Elizabeth
