Our Lenten Journey

It’s hard to believe that we only have one more week until the Easter holidays. The time has flown by! The clocks go forward this weekend, so although it will feel very early on Monday morning, the evenings will be so much lighter, and hopefully we will see a bit more spring sunshine too.

During assembly on Monday we heard about Jesus giving sight to the blind man. As part of our Lenten journey we asked Jesus to help us see Him more clearly, and we want others to see Jesus in us through our how we treat others.

Today we are walking to Wintershall with Year 6 for their Lent Workshop. It is a lovely walk, through the fields although given this week’s weather, is likely to be rather muddy! The children will walk the Stations of the Cross and through thinking about Jesus’ final journey, they will be inspired in their own retelling of the events of Holy Week in their Passion Play performances next week.

Year R have some very exciting visitors arriving this morning; firefighters and fire engine from Haslemere! As part of their topic on people who help us, Jack’s dad will be bringing his fire engine to school.

Have a lovely weekend,

Elizabeth
