Pirates, bikes and healthy eating!

Finally, the summer weather has arrived! Today is the longest day of the year, and it looks as if it will be a lovely summer’s day with beautiful weather to come next week too.

Our Year 6 children have been doing their Bikeability course this week. They practice their skills in the playground before going out on the local roads to learn how to manoeuvre safely in real traffic situations. This is a great skill to have. Well done Year 6.

In Year R it was Pirate Day on Tuesday! The children looked wonderful in their pirate costumes. They really do love learning in Year R. You can see them with their pirate ship pictures above.

Our Year 4 class is off to Wintershall today for the Life of Christ. This is always a wonderful day watching the story unfold across the beautiful landscape over the course of the day. From the birth of Jesus in the stable, to the feeding of the five thousand and fishing on the lake with the disciples, to his crucifixion and resurrection. It is a lovely opportunity for Year 4 to experience the story of Jesus after making their First Communion recently.

This morning, our Year 2 class is learning about healthy eating. As you can see in the picture, they are arranging food into the different groups. A great way to see what we need more or less of in our diets! Well done Year 2.

Have a lovely weekend,

Elizabeth
