If your child is unwell and will be absent from school, you must inform the school before 8.50am on the first day and then on each subsequent day of illness.

Reporting same-day absences via the Arbor App:-

All same-day absences should be reported directly through the Arbor Parent App. This new feature is a quick and easy way to notify us of absences. It also means our records are up-to-date in real time. Please make sure all absences are reported by 8:50am, with full details of the absence/ illness, ie. It is not enough to simply say unwell.

To report an absence on Arbor:

1. Log onto the Parent Portal in Arbor
2. Select Attendance under Quick Actions
3. If you are using a mobile device press the “three lines at the bottom left of the screen
4. Select Log Absence
5. Complete the absence time (only for that day) and the reason for absence
6. Press Log Absence

If you have trouble logging into Arbor, you can call the school on 01483 414497 and then selecting option 1 to leave a message on the absence line

In cases of vomiting and/or diarrhoea, our policy is that children are kept at home for 48 hours after the last episode before they return to school. This is to ensure we minimise the spread of any illness within the school.
