School Results
National assessments for state schools takes place at the end of Year 2 (for Key Stage 1) and Year 6 (for Key Stage 2). Year 2 results are Teacher Assessment (where a child's attainment is the professional opinion of the class teacher, moderated in school and externally verified every three or four years). In Year 6, children take externally marked tests in reading, spelling, punctuation and grammar, and maths and these are published alongside Teacher Assessment for writing only.
